Hi
I recently separated after a 30 year relationship... I love living along again and sharing my space with friends and family, but Sunday afternoon is a real slump! Today, I've found myself signing up to a dating site for the first time and not sure if it's out of boredom, curiosity or intrigue. Why did you sign up? (if it's the usual tooting for roots scenario then don't answer - too shallow and obvious for me!)... Is there any such thing as people making eye contact in a bar, cinema, restaurant, caf anymore and striking up a conversation or are we all just too afraid of appearing keen, desperate, loony or too cheap to pay for our own coffee?!! Does anyone meet anyone else in the real world? I understand lots of people join dating sites to cut to the chase and get straight down to talking dirty but I find that all too cheap and obvious and not at all intriguing, so... if you enjoy banter, random chat and laughter as a means of getting to know someone then chat back and break my Sunday slump... otherwise bugger off with your wad of tissue and cheap innuendo! |
