Age, within reason...about a 10-15 year spread...should never be a barrier.

I have a private three acre lake on my property that many guys around here try to sneak onto my property to fish. I allow no hunting or fishing and back this up with my 12 gauge shotgun.

One day there was a knock on my front door. When I opened my door, there stood a very nervous man. He stammered and stuttered, finally asking me if he could fish in my lake.

Turns out, his asking to fish in my lake was just an excuse to talk to me. I felt an immediate and very strong draw to him.

After meeting a couple of times, and spending many hours together, I asked him his age. We had already formed a very easy relationship and did not feel awkward or nervous around each other.

Turns out he is 13 years younger than me. I took a step backwards in surprise because his level of maturity is much higher than most men in my own age group (boomers).

When I told him my age, he actually called me a liar because, thanks to good genes, I do not look my age at 57, but more like in my late 30s to early 40s.

After spending almost every day together for three weeks, we were married last November!

I have never been so happy, so fulfilled, so complete. Steve always has a goofy smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye. The older guys where Steve works are jealous because they know the reason behind Steve's goofy smile...they constantly complain how their wives have their own bedrooms; so when Steve comes in with that goofy grin, the older guys get grumpier and tell him to wipe that smirk off his face.

So, gals...and guys, keep an open mind when it comes to an age difference. Your true mate just might be hiding behind their age.

Best wishes to all! flowerforyou
