It will depend on you whether you tolerate a particular dom to "keep you in line". Strong independent women are usually naturally drawn to a real man but a sassy mouth independent woman is another matter. Being sassy and mouthy is dominant behavior, so very few doms will be attracted to those traits. An alpha female wolf dominates the whole pack but is still submissive to the alpha male. If she tried to boss him around, she would be kicked out on her own. She may say that the alpha male couldn't handle her but in reality, she just doesn't have submissive traits.
