I belive "think about it", was just his catch phrase of sorts. He also says that after saying something about his empty can of Nazi gas. Most crazy people in movies have catch phrases just to let you know they are crazy, like the tooth fairy's "Do you see?" in Manhunter, or the Joker's "Why so serious?" in The Dark Knight.

Codex Seraphinianus

I have a copy of Codex Seraphinianus I've been, well looking at the pictures, since I can't really read it. It's a book by Luigi Serafini, where it is at my best guess an encyclopedia of another planet. It's written in some language Serafini created. Things like the page numbers do collaborate with the tables of contents at the begining of each section, which really makes me think there is a translation. It seems almost a cypher, but I don't know any italian, so I'm at a loss. Anyone else ever see this book, or have any theories?

You put you left foot in, you put your left foot out. You put your left foot in, and you shake it all about. You do the hoakey pokey and you turn yourself around, and that is what it's all about.

Nibiru

I've been reading about this claim that a huge planet called Nibiru is in our solar system, and headed on a collision course with Earth, and NASA has blacked it out of photos to hide it. I'm no astronomer, but would'nt something planet sized be fairly noticeable to anyone with a telescope, making blacking it out of photos really pointless. So lame conspiracy theories aside, is their any real proof Nibiru exists?

Time Machine

Despite what science fiction writers and other forward thinking people believe, time travel is not possible for the simple fact that time is a human construct, and as such, our notion of time has no meaning in the grand scheme of things. As an example, no one knows exactly how long a second is, because we base our measure of time on how long it takes the sun to go from east to west. Unbeknownst to us, over the course of its history, the earth's rotational speed has actually slowed, so that original "standard" is no longer useful. We use atomic clocks that are based on highly precise oscillators, but we still don't know how long a second is because there is no naturally occurring standard for measuring something that exists only in the minds of human beings. Our perception of time is a human construct, but it does exist. It is like saying their is not two objects on the table over there, because man invented the number two. |

I will ask here what I asked in a similar thread: How do you define "time"? Time is a way we try to make sense of events. To most of us, time seems to be a sequence from present to future, though some mental illnesses cause some people to mix it up. It's not unique to humans to experience time, dogs can smell the passage of time. Speaking of dogs, their eyes register images faster than our eyes, does that mean they can see the future, by our perspective of time? |

Are you seeking the meaning of life? It is simple, you are here to provide a better life for future generations. Do not let others tell you different, that is our purpose.
