Where is Palestine actually? I’ve looked at a lot of maps trying to find it. Going back hundreds of years.

From the history I read, before the current state from the 40’s, the British ran it after WW1, and before that it was part of the Ottoman Empire for about 400 years… The oldest reference I found was coined by a Roman general with a derogatory meaning.

So how far back in time do we go?

I just got back from cutting a fresh Christmas tree from the top of my local mountain. The permit was $5 from BLM, ehm… Bureau of Land Management and it was an adventure of snow and mud. But, it was a cool first time event.

For years I just went to a local market or garden center and rummaged through whatever they got. This time I got to pick size, shape and species and cut it myself. It took a couple hours navigating their map to find an appropriate area, and a bit of hiking to find the right one. But a worthwhile experience overall. I really feel like I did something other than just be a consumer.

That many do not write in cursive anymore, and many more cannot read it. Lol

Good advice

I’ve served on both types of juries. Oregon pulls the participants from the DMV files and I think possibly voter registration as well.

Grand Jury lasts a month, meeting one day a week, you only hear the prosecution’s side, with a few witnesses. The GJ determines if the prosecution has enough to actually go to trial. Or if they need to keep investigating to build their case, or it’s a waster of the court’s time and taxpayer money.

In my county, it was about 3 hours each meeting, not very many cases, mostly alcohol infused misbehavior. It was something we all took seriously. And we did discuss each case on the merits, then voted on whether the case should proceed or not.

I’m thinking a billboard would be more effective.
