I gotta get my defenses up for what I'm about to say.. I think Slayer is over-rated. Sorry. Great band and all, but not the best like everyone deems them to be in my book.

Two chords and growling doesn't really constitute as music. That's equivalent to rap. Try growling in different tones, for days and days on tour without losing you voice, and on top of that play those "two chords" in 16th count syncopated rhythm.
