Hey everyone, It occurred to me that we all talk a good one and offer advice on how to meet people and talk to people (the blind leading the blind?), but what would you really do if someone came up to you and tried to start a conversation? Would you shrug them off and go about your business? Talk and get to know them? Try to be polite and invent an excuse to leave? I'm with nascar on this I'm a real talker, I can talk to someone I like but the minute I know he likes me my shyness kicks in and I clam up. But then once he gets me talking watch out Me too, to a point. I deal with strangers on a daily basis due to my job, but I am in a business environment - if I get hit on I diplomatically get out of the situation. Strangers approach me in public transport but they are usually no threat - which I guess is the main thing for me - if I feel as though my space is being invaded I retreat - but they are usually harmless, lonely folk. But if a single, guy that I am attracted to came up to me and started talking, I know me.....I get tongue tied, and gawk or try and think of reasons why he may be talking to me......then I do a Houdini and disappear.
