Yes, the Earth has gone through cycles of heating and cooling for billions of years. However, that doesn't mean that the large amounts of chemicals that have been dumped into the environment by human activities hasn't somehow affected that cycle. The questions for me really has always been how much of the global warming effect their all screaming about now is really human caused and how much of it is just the natural cycle of the Earth? Can it really be stopped or reversed?
The other problem I see is that the technology that they are so certain would decrease global warming is just not really viable or sustainable at the levels the pundits keep screaming for. It might be someday, but we're just not there yet.
