I too am a hip hop/rap enthusiast, but my interest lies further in the underground music. I listen mainly to rap and punk rock music, I really like bands that fuse rap and rock, such as Rage Against The Machine. My favorite rappers/groups are as follows, though not precisely in this order. Madchild Swollen Members (hed) PE Twiztid The Bloodhound Gang Hyro Da Hero Juicy Karkass Boots O'Reilly The Coup 2pac and Biggie too, equally.
