From my own personal experiences, with 12yrs of online chatting experience on numerous sites...including Uniform Professional connection sites. I have had a few daunting experiences within past 12 months with: few impersonating Military & Police officers, trying to scheme & scam for money & electrical goods. One with claims of Army Officer after 2nd email, demanding me to cease being on the website...as I'm an independent rebellious individual, he stalked me on the site & emailed me of his displeasure of still seeing me online...to me if he was legitimate he would be controlling in a relationship & reported him as a potential stalker with possibly also including being a schemer & scammer. With having experience with a real life stalker of a girl my youngest son dated...she stalked him for 3yrs & filed false weapons & domestic violence charges against him, including she was stupid enough to stalk one of the State prisons he was being held at awaiting his 2nd trial. With having evidence of her breaking into my home while we were sleeping...the Police disregarded the evidence & he spent approx 3 months wrongfully imprisoned awaiting 2 trials. After 3 long years, I myself had gathered enough evidence to acquit him at both trials. The anxiety & stress levels are extremely high under those circumstances...with myself being born & raised in a Military & Medical family, including I have some training in Martial Arts, Boxing, Kickboxing & some training in swords & daggers...has the potential of fatal consequences, due to mistaken identity.

SAFETY TIPS:

(1) Remain contact via the site's email system as long as possible, as it's easier for the Administrators to monitor the logs.

(2) Always use an Alias email address & messenger screennames for off-site contact.

(3) Always use a disposable pre-paid cellphone, for phone contact.

(4) Restrict photo & file sharing, to reduce risk of being keylogged & creation of fake profiles.

(5) Use intuition & instincts, if something doesn't feel right or projects a guarded feeling...GO WITH IT!

(6) Use block features for unwanted contact & always report to site Administrators of potential schemers & scammers...localised stalking & threats to both site Administrators & Local Authorities.

(7) Never post or share pics of Children, your home or residential neighbourhood...prevention of Paedophile access & Hostile Stalking.

(8) Always use Logic & Common Sense when interacting with others.

Being registered on many Uniform professional connection sites & being born & raised in a Military & Medical family with a Fireman uncle...I have came across numerous scheming & scamming fake profiles, posing as Military & Police officers...with each of them reported to site administrators & law enforcement authorities. Unfortunately it does pose stress & anxiety for the people trying to establish genuine connections...even the genuine Military & Police officers. Reality is in the real world...people do impersonate Official Authority figures, for their own greed & crime sprees. Women are just as bad the men...chasing after their pensions & benefits etc...money, money, money.

Despite I have never & really never thought I could...I did have a deep close connection with somebody, which the possibilities of I could have. Already having 3 grown kids & no intentions of having any more...medically & physically impossible without intervention. Regarding STD's, being a Nurse I know how to protect myself. Being single for the second time of 5 years without giving sex a thought...my interpretation of these sites are to get to know somebody prior to the date...so it totally depends on how deep the connection is & nothing to do with self respect or morals.

This is a critical problem globally. Most of the cases that have attracted global media attention, have not been intoxicated by any forms of drugs...alcohol, pot etc. Exactly who does forget a baby/child or animal is in a vehicle. Being a Nurse, mother of 3 & smoke pot for medicinal purposes due to restrictions of what Medications I'm allowed to be prescribed...I have never neglected my children's health or safety & I have been in my profession for 20 years. Yet sober people still take babies/children driving unrestrained, speeding, on crime sprees & leave them in hot cars to go on shopping sprees & gambling. Only to have recently a mother take her 7 year old child to the Doctor & left her 3 month old baby in a hot car, merely due to her being too lazy to take the baby inside with her because it was sleeping....How is either moral or justified?
