High in the 40s in OK. At least the wind isn't blowing like it was yesterday.

We get the cold front here before you do in DFW. The high was 40s yesterday and today. I was born and raised in West Virginia .... lived lots of places since then.

Amen to horsegirl's graphic. I have friends who would not want their children to go in the military. I would be scared but would be very proud if my son did. In fact I think all young men should go into the service. It teaches them many good things. Of course, I worry about how some of them are going to cope after Iraq.

I think your cold air is coming this way ... no precipitation forcasted yet. I've been trying to find the origin of the word "skiff/skift". I've lived in various places and many people have never heard that word ... but I heard it all my life.

The winters aren't too bad .. except for an occasional ice storm. I lived in the DFW area for 18 years, only been an Okie for 3 years.
