A secretary goes to her boss to ask if she could get an
off day.
"You want a day off?" he asks.
"Ok, let's think about what you are asking for moment.
There are 365 days in the the year. The year has 52
weeks in which you get two days off in every week.
That leaves us with 261 days that you can work.
Because you are not at work for 16 hours of the day, it
means that you already used 170 days in that way.
That leaves us with only 91 days.
Everyday you get a 30 minute tea break, which takes
away an additional 23 days then we are left with 68
days. Not to mention the whole hour you get for lunch
which knocks off another 46 days and all we have is
22 days.
You usually take two days sick leave per year and we
only have 20 left for work. There are five public
holidays that you get paid for, so you only have 15 days
left for work. We give you 14 days vacation per year,
which means that there is really only ONE left for
work.
You are crazy if think I'm going to that one day off!"
