Well, if you feel I must validate myself, I could name well over a hundred people from this very site whom I've met in person who can vouch for me. What's your excuse?
By the way, the Rolling Stones did not hire the Hell's Angels as security for Altamont. The management did. The Stones had no idea who they were getting involved with. Besides, they weren't even hired as security at all, per se, but just to watch the equipment, and they were paid in beer. |

My only complaint is that people need to know what they are talking about before they pass judgement on people, but that's what the internet is for, slaming people anonamously and without retaliation. And i'm not your "son' mr-music, by the way, the "classics," just another word for old, there is a reason, "they don't make it like they used to." ![]() First of all, you are correct on one thing: you're NOT my son. If you were, you would've gotten your *** beat for cocking off like that a long time ago, so you would've had some respect for elders, and common sense in your head. Secondly, as Robin said, "they don't make it like they used to" because they CAN'T. In order to know how far we've come (or regressed, in this case), you first have to know where you came from. I say "classics", you say "old". Potato, potahto. But you cannot deny why there's a reason those "old" songs still continue to stand the test of time 20 to 50 years later (and counting). You also cannot deny why that....noise....they have the audacity to call music will never be remembered for that length of time, if it's even known of at all. Lastly, I was doing security for, and touring with, worldwide-known bands when you were just out of poopy-pants. Bands who actually played music, that the world knew! The only time there was ever any bloodshed is when somebody got a little out of hand because they had a little bit too much firewater, and the issue was resolved quickly. Making yourself or somebody else bleed deliberately was never part of the plan for anybody, because it's braindead and stupid. Common sense dictates that it's something you just don't do. You have the gall to demand that people know what they're talking about before passing judgment? Perhaps you should take your own advice into consideration first. I am not anonymous. If I have something to say, I say it. |

OMG are you kidding me??? I'll take you're rough night over one of my days any time.. UM grow up, wake up, stop your sniveling, be a man and be thankful that you can do the things you can do... just sayin'.. ![]() Ok but try doing it 4 to 7 times a week for 4 to 10 hours. I'd didn't go to a concert, I work there, and no offence but you probably wouldn't last 5 minutes doing what I was doing. I'm not sniveling, I'm wide awake, I am thankful, and if "growing up" means I act like you, I don't want to. I'm one of the guys that keep people safe at concerts, I'm one of the guys that catches people that are thrown 10 feet in the air, I'm one of the guys that gets in harms way so everyone else can have a good time, I'm one of the guys people come to when they lost their child. So back off. "Just sayin'." Little miss princess. Tell you what go to the sporting goods store, in the boxing area the are heavy bags. Find the 100 pound bag and ask them to throw it to you from 10 no make it 5 feet away, if you can catch it every 30 seconds for an hour I'll take one of "your days." Ahh, yes....deliberately and purposefully allowing yourself to be kicked in the face, 4 to 7 times a week for 4 to 10 hours. Being thrown 10 feet into the air, dropped on your head, smashing into each other full-tilt, all the while listening to mindless drivel and meaningless noise....and this is called "having a good time". Time to grow up, son. It's later than you think. |
