So are you refering to the people who obviously didnt take the time to read what they wrote, maybe using all caps, or not using any punctuation at all? Or are you refering to people who may mispell a word every now and again or maybe dont put in a comma where a period should be? I am not referring to those people with legitimate, documented learning disabilities, nor am I referring to accidental typographical errors. We are ALL guilty of those. However, when they (words) cease being accidental typographical errors and repeatedly continue to be misspelled/misused/etc., the truth lies.

My question is; what is happening to our youngsters? Why the lack of respect for school, and the lack lusture approach to learning? Just in case nobody has noticed it before this, it's been going on for many years already. As some folks have already mentioned, you may attribute it mainly to liberals who have blurred the line between discipline and abuse over time to the point where the difference between the two cannot be discerned, and it's all seen as non-constructive. Heap on top of all of that the bleeding-hearts who allow it to keep continuing for fear of appearing "unkind" or "unfair" to the individual(s) in question, and the problem keeps perpetuating. Thus, we keep ending up with more and more uneducated people, who also do not even care to be educated. What I find ironic is, these same people thereafter have the audacity to get pissed off when another person who HAS been well-educated attempts to correct their mistakes. Also again, the bleeding-hearts always step in on their behalf. Nobody has the balls to take a stand for anything anymore, and those that do get suppressed. I see it all the time on these very boards, not to mention the entire internet. The amount of people who are (allegedly) "educated", yet cannot get a firm grasp on the simple concept of the English language with respect to spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc., is alarming.
