Being a "Dominant" type in the BDSM lifestyle is not not anything like most here are attempting to describe. A Dominant/submissive relationship goes deeper than any vanilla type relationship I've ever seen or been in.
It's not about door mats, whipping post and the like, it's intimate, endearing and a powerful bond that 2 build between one another.If you think having a Dom type to go toe to toe with then you actually have an equal and 2 Dom types spell destruction.
Stereotyping of BDSM relationships is due to the lack of knowledge, if you know nothing about it first hand, not hear say or what you read, then one shouldn't make assumptions to what it really is like.
