It is a well established fact that crime is inversely proportional to the percentage of responsible, well armed citizens in a population because we outnumber the "bad guys" a hundred to one at least. It is an inherent human right to be able to defend oneself as effectively as possible, and to me that usually means carrying a sidearm.
