I dated someone like that and I found myself drinking more than usual-it can be contagious. The person is an alcoholic. The bigger question is what do you want from the relationship, a life long companion or someone to help pass the time away. If the answer is a life long companion then move on........I'm sure by the time that person is in there late 40's early 50's they will have health problems.
