I was and will always be 100% percent committed to the woman I'm in a relationship with, yes my eyes may wonder at times but what guys doesn't.. Just because I might catch a glimpse doesn't mean I would go any further..

Honesty is always the best policy, so well done for saying it mate

Perhaps I'm slightly jaded now but I'd say committed relationships are somewhat akin to rotary dial phones. They still exist but good look finding one.

Marriage vows used to say stuff like "...love and cherish, for richer or poorer, in sickness and health,... 'til death do us part". Now the vows should be "I do 'til I don't want to anymore, so suck it up buttercup and make me happy or else!"

Disheartening really. noway

I nearly choked on my morning coffee reading the rotary dial phone part of that post, comedy genius!! laugh laugh

Never reached the vows part in my lifetime yet.....possibly a good thing given how my previous experiences. Still, it takes two to tango and im not completely innocent.

Not and never have been a cheater though, that im proud of! laugh

@ Simonedemidova

Not committing due to past experience, or just not the committing as its not the way you are?

Couldnt do that open relationship stuff, id be the jealous half. Wouldnt committ to that, but each to their own

Actually the universe is in a period of accelerated expansion caused by dark energy. The farther objects such as galaxies are away from us, the faster they are moving away from us. It appears that the universe will end in scattered isolation as the big "crunch" (gravity bringing all the mass back together) will never happen. All the suns will die. Protons will break down causing the last ice cream to melt.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO,Not My Icecream!laugh

ill look them up, thanks for the heads up  : dont compose my own stuff to behonest, although I think I could. Maybe i should try

they are folk guitar, texas, southern US style. Lowell George hada band called Little Feat....not sure that they fall into a category though....lol :)

if you care for American folk music, then surely you have heard of Dylan? Taj Mahal?

Folk music is what its all about!

Dylan was one of my inspirations in me playing guitar...although i think that could be said of most people that have every picked one up!

If you like Dylan, you should listen to a lad from Sheffield in England called Jake Bugg. The song is called 'country song' - he sounds scarily like Dylan

Nice one too, are you referring to entropy - energy always moves on to a weaker and weaker form?

Is a committed partner a thing of the past? I used to think no, now im not so sure. Even when people say they are.

Think I should have been born in the 50's or 60's - anyone notice how relationships from then seem to last a lifetime.

Give me a quiff anyday laugh laugh

What's a quiff? Everyone claims to be in committed relationships, when you mention open relationships one half usually gets jealous and says no. But when you committed one half usually cheats. And many people always try and throw an extra girl in the mix........not committing...

The quiff being a Grease style Travolta haircut, right out the 50's!

Someone will now tell me Grease wasnt set in the 50's - i never even watched the full movie! laugh laugh

you know, i knew id heard the theory somewhere before!

It then begs the question, what does it expand into. Boggles your mind, it realy does laugh

Black pudding is primarily blood! But believe it or not it is quite similar in taste to haggis, but not quite as good.

Edinburgh is a lovely city, steeped in history. It only has a population of around half a million people (although you would never know this walking around Edinburgh) strangely enough, compared to Glasgow's 2-3 million.

I live near a town called Paisley (where the pattern comes from!), which is roughly 10 miles outside Glasgow.

If your looking for History, then visit Edinburgh and Stirling. If your looking for something more cosmoplitan, visit Glasgow. Its now like a minature version of New York!

Interesting theory on the big bang. Need a Sheldon Cooper to agree or offer the anti-thesis.

All galaxies are moving away from each other as a result of the big bang, we know this, right? Can someone answer this for me:

If most galaxies have black holes in their center, sucking everything in, then surely there comes a point when gravity overrides the momentum gained from the big bang, drawing all galaxies back in to one piece of matter (eventually).

Galaxies are colliding and becoming one, which will eventualy happen to our own milky way and our nearest neighbour, Andromeda. So, stop me if im wrong here: more mass = more gravity. Given that in space there is nothing but a void, surely, eventually gravity will override the momentum of the big bang on galaxies draw them all back in to one finite point, like it was prior to the big bang?

That said, gravity is both the strongest and the weakest force in the universe. If only light enough to move objects in space (look at a comets tail always pointing AWAY from the sun, or ION propulsion) is there any way this would override gravity. Lets not forget light in the universe wont last forever?

Im clearly no physicist, but its food for thought and would be good if someone else can offer anything to it.....

I wish a man was like a dog,
Faithful he would be.
Sitting at my feet all day,
Studying nothing but me.

He’d want me to be happy,
He’d want me to be loved.
He’d want to be the one
Who shows unconditional love.

He’d wag his tail
When I walked in
So happy for to see me,
home from wherever I had to be.

He’d want to chase the ball I threw
So pleasantly we played.
He’d run for hours, panting,
To show me how he was brave.

At night, he’d climb in bed with me,
And snuggle up so close.
Protecting me and loving me,
With his head laid on my chest…..

Very goodlaugh :

And when his bum gets itchy
Along the carpet he would drag
And then he'd find the nearest leg
And mount it for a shag.....
