I wish a man was like a dog,
Faithful he would be.
Sitting at my feet all day,
Studying nothing but me.

He’d want me to be happy,
He’d want me to be loved.
He’d want to be the one
Who shows unconditional love.

He’d wag his tail
When I walked in
So happy for to see me,
home from wherever I had to be.

He’d want to chase the ball I threw
So pleasantly we played.
He’d run for hours, panting,
To show me how he was brave.

At night, he’d climb in bed with me,
And snuggle up so close.
Protecting me and loving me,
With his head laid on my chest…..
