Laying here watching the rain..
As the thoughts race rapidly across her brain...

The thunder rumbles, Lightning flashes quickly..
These Silent tears still dripping..

A glance at her arms.. (the scars),
Not a reminder, of the pain pain, the struggle...
But the strength that she gained..

Wishing she could step away from life's threats,
and painful regrets..
It's constant beatings and little mistreatings..

Maybe.. Look away from the ground and up at the sky,
See the sun in her eyes..

Something pulls her inside..
Makes her hide..
Deny..
Being Tortured inside..

But not a word spoken..
And from these lips,
Take in air,
A daring despair..

From a woman..
Who wishes in the morning..
Never to have awoken..
