I would start her on kitten food soaked in kitten formula if she'll eat it. At one month old, she's not yet weaned and will take great comfort in suckling a bottle, plus the kitten formula will give her the nutrients she needs. If you can't find kitten formula, try a local feed store for powdered goat's milk (although some feed stores carry kitten formula). Especially in the cold, kittens need more calories and a higher fat content which is found in their mother's milk. Cow milk will literally starve them of nutrients as it's mainly water (what you get at a store, if it's farm fresh, that's a different story). |
