Wanted for sure. Wanted implies the other person chooses to have you in their lives because they value you. Needing means they might not value you but would use you for their own selfish purposes, not necesarily because they really want you there. this was always a debate in my marriage. We each had different preceptions of the meanings and what we thought the other had or wanted.
