Online dating sites are full of people with agendas . Sadly, not all of them are honest or genuine . That in itself can make people wary (even in establishing friendships ) trust can be difficult to establish . Long distance and time zones can also be a barrier . It takes patience , respecting boundaries and motivation for why people are online and understanding why many may have reservations about sharing personal information .
