My parents were expecting a boy
and had only picked a boys name..

To their suprise I was a girl.
Well back in those days of 59'
they use to drug up the moms
and dads were left waiting in the other room.
The TV was on with What's My Line playing.
When atttending nurses asked my mother
what will be the name of the girl (me)
she pointed to the TV and said
"Arlene Dahl-a-a-h"(red headed actress)

Never pleased with the lack of thought to my name
I had a few friends help me seek the right name.
There was Punky (way before the punk scene)
There was Juana (yeah there was a story to that)
At 16 I was SpY That was just a nick name though
and being a SpY I had to get another name..
the alter ego..
Thus came Ahlia
from a Donny Iris song "Ah Leah"
