Picking Quentin Tarantino to direct and the clown off Stephen King's 'It' to play Trump....Pennywise.

.

Pennywise's hair looks too real for Trump.

Most recent books I've finished:

Roadside Picnic by Arkady Strugatsky and Boris Strugatsky (Russian science fiction, basis for the 1979 Russian movie Stalker)

You Don't Know Me, But You'll Love Me: The Lives Of Dick Miller (Biography about the character actor probably most known for playing Mr. Futterman in Gremlins, but was in countless other movies)

Currently re reading Stephen King's Lisey's Story

Recently re watched the 1984 New Zealand horror film 'Mr Wrong', about a woman who buys a haunted Jaguar.scared
I haven’t seen that one . Was it worth watching ??! Nz has not done a lot of horror movies . Think Australian horror is better lol . The locals . Is another kiwi horror . Ages since I have seen it . Think I watched it one Halloween and was Okayish lol.

I like it, but you can't always go by my taste haha I'd say it's like quiet horror, more about atmosphere and characters than violence/gore.

I really liked The Locals, I'm a sucker for horror films set in small towns/villages.

New Zealand has had some horror films I've really liked- The Scarecrow (1982) aka Klynham Summer, Housebound, The Ugly, What We Do In The Shadows, Truth About Demons with Karl Urban, Black Sheep. And of course Peter Jackson's Braindead and Bad Taste.

All Dario Argento's movies (thrillers and horror)...
In Italy the Exorcist was considered rather funny to be honest... head turning that way made people laugh!

Sure didn't stop Italy from ripping off The Exorcist multiple times in the 70s: Beyond The Door, The Return Of The Exorcist, The Antichrist, Enter The Devil, Demon Witch Child, Damned In Venice...

You can't go far wrong with the cult classics of "The Unnameable" and especially "The Unnameable Returns". Two of the best realised Lovecraft inspired films ever.

I love The Unnamable and its sequel, though as adaptions, like most based on Lovecraft there are a lot of deviations from the stories. Still entertaining though, along with- ReAnimator, From Beyond, Necronomicon, Dagon, The Resurrected. Also Castle Freak, and the remake I enjoyed, especially the ending when it went full on cosmic horror.

Out of the three feature length movies based on Lovecraft's The Lurking Fear (The Full Moon's Lurking Fear, Bleeders), Dark Heritage from 1989 is probably my favorite.

I love the new Color Out Of Space with Nic Cage.

Probably the most faithful adaption I've seen is the 2005 silent film The Call of Cthulhu.
