I've seen the sky about to rain,
I've heard them say it's all the same.
I've felt the land beneath me quake,
taken more than my fair shake.
Winters breath has crept back in
to gnaw my bones chaff my skin.
Yeah the river runs deep, and
the currents are tricky.
Old wounds can still seep.
Nothing heals quickly.
I've seen the sky about to rain,
I've been choked by all my pain,
I've dropped to my knees to pray,
shouted to a sky that's grey.
Thanked the father for each day
I've always had to have my say
I think I've gotten carried away
so until I find a better way.
This road I'm on seems fairly straight
So I'll keep this pace another day...
maybe I reach the starting gate

I may not be lightning, but I sure can spark,
more than a little frightening, when I'm in the dark.
I see the wise men hording, I watch the poor ones die,
This rivers wide im fording, But I have you in my sight.
Don' you worry it wont be long,these currents can be so tricky,
I'll try to hurry you know im strong, when it comes to paths I can be picky.
I only scream when im dreaming, the silent fears convict me,
only cry when im sleeping, safer tears they can't see.
Keep your head take a breath,the journey is yet to end,
only a few more miles are left, and a knew one shall begin.
Happiness is still in sight, I see you on the shore,
all will surly be all right, when i get what I'm swimming for.
