handicapped go to heaven? they could not possibly know who jesus is. so? WOW!! I think that is the most judgemental statement I've ever heard how is that judgemental? i was just asking a question, and stating that SOME mentally handicapped people could not reason God or Jesus you said... and i quote... they could not possibly know who jesus is.... I have worked with the mentally handicapped for 13 years... and MANY of them would put most of us to shame on thier understanding of jesus..who he is.. how and why he died...and what he represents... maybe you need to go visit a few and see for yourself!! OK, like i said earlier i should have put SOME, you have to admit SOME will not be able to comprehend what religion or GOd is. Nobody on this planet comprehends what God is. ok then what do you have to do to get into heaven? |

What does being mentally handicapped have to do with knowing who Jesus is? Mentally handicapped many times just means that they develop mentally at a slower rate than the rest of us. A 40 yr old may only be 5 mentally. My 5 year old knows who Jesus is..... 
ok, but you have to admit, that SOME, are never going to be capable of understanding or knowing religion. ya dont have to be mentally handicapped for that darlin!!! 
I do see his point though. I'm sure it would be just like an infant. It would depend, I'm sure, on the mental capability and what they've been exposed to. this is the kind of intelligent answer i was looking for...thank you |

I work with the mentally handicapped every day, and think that that question is extremly rude

i don't get it...from my last post it appeared that there is no requirement for how smart you have to be to be religious. how young is too young to be able to understand what God really is?

I guess it might be my age, but I don't have a big desire to actually be with a man..i know i am on here... but alot of women i know search and search for someone to be with, even at my age, i don't care, i am so happy being single, too darn happy, and i don't worry about being alone,like alot of women i know, is something wrong with me? and do others feel this way..?? some basic psychological i learned a while back, "we like what we are used to", if we have always been with someone we tend to want to keep that the same, if we have been single more than we tend to like to be single. nothing wrong with it as long as you are happy. obviously, some other factors come into play, but if you have been single for a while, this may be the reason. |

mikes first post was 7-13-06, and as he was one of the founders then you can guess that it was started around then... as for the name change.. its a site upgrade..in order for them to be able to continue to give us this free site that we all love so much..they neede more add space and a chance to attract new members.. so thus the name change.. (at leastthat is as close as i canfigure) this help any??
