Culture, history, legends, empires, beauty, gastronomy, beaches, raki, panoramas, sultans, mountains, diving, beautiful women, hansom men,Efes, clear sea, gulets, fresh fish, architecture, Cappodocia, Istanbul, yacht marinas, the list goes on and on.

Turkey is a wonderful country! It's a progressive modern place. More liberal in the sea side resorts than the big cities. probably has more history than any other county in the world. Certainly has more Roman and Greek ruins than Italy or Greece. Where else can you sit in the same chair that Alexander the great sat on?

The coast and sea between Kas and Kalkan is the cleanest in the whole of the Med.

Turkey has something for everyone, from walking holidays to pub crawls you just need to visit and find out for your self.....See you soon

Hi All,
I'm Darren a 40+ guy. English ex-pat that's been living in Turkey for the last 6 years. I don't do big cities any more so I am based in a lovely small town called Kas in the Antalya region. Anyone that has sailed in Turkey will know it.

In my past life, I used to live in Windsor, Berkshire, UK. That seems all but a distant memory now. There I spent all of my time working, not that it was a bad thing. It allowed me to come to paradise :)

Now I spend my days as I please, I'm kind of a spontaneous person. I don't mind planning one or two days ahead, but that's about it. Summers are spent sailing with my dog and friends if they choose to join us. Winters are spent looking at places that are too bloody hot to visit in the summer.

My plan this year was to sail to the Carribean, that was cut short when a tug hit me in Sicily. I left the boat in Malta and returned to Kas

If you would like to know more, or just hear tales of adventure & woe then please contact me.

Kind Regards - Darren
