Because making 1gb, 3gb, 5gb ... There is very diffculity since, 1GB flash drives do exist, and 1TB will probably be in the future. To get other odd number capacities would mean manufacturers using extra chips. Why make a drive for example with 2 x 4GB chips a 1GB chip to make a 9GB drive? 7GB would be worse. You'd need a 4GB 2GB 1GB! Why go to the trouble and expense when 1x8GB or 2x4GB would most likely be cheaper to manufacture? 8 bits = 1 byte 1024 bytes = 1 kilobyte 1024 kilobytes(KB) = 1 megabyte(MB) 1024 megabytes(MB) = 1 gigabyte(GB) 1024 gigabytes(GB) = 1 terabyte(TB). They make odd chips in fact when a pc formats the chip it doesnt see all the chip it only sees maybe 95% of it.Amiga Sees all so when an Amiga formats a chip or thumb-drive u have 100% available so a 32gig is actually seen as 33 gig on an Amiga. PC=MAc in the architecture that is made they never see the full bits case in point . Which is why u loose a full hard drive when formatted. Which is why Amiga people like me always laughed when we had a 545 gig hard drive out of a 540 gig and u guys only saw 530 . Same with ram. You have to have the exact model of ram and the exact speed to match .you cant have the slow speed in front of the fast one. The Amiga doesnt care .The Amiga dynamic addresses the speed in true real-time. No waite states .You have waite states. The pc motherboard isnt mulitasking or real-time u need both to do either of these. |

Friendeepu- It is not a stick reason, that binary number capsity. what's relation between binary number (0,1) and 2gb 4gb 8gb and so on? I'll give its acurate ans. actually pc=macs cant read odd sets right. .. The Amiga can. To wit the Amiga has odd ram sets of 3 megs and so forth . Its the outdated arcane x86 mindset which is the problem. |

how can i find the geographic position if i know the IP address? fred Whatismyipaddress.com Now, due to dhcp best it can give you is the major city that the dhcp server resides in. again wrong the very meaning of dhcp is that its dynamic meaning it will change and that tip will be different tomorrow. The MAC address is one of many things that is your geo position. not the ip. Heard of spoofing . so if u went by ip address to find me u would never find me. |

I have a Samsung galaxy nexus 32g android phone with ice cream sandwich&easter egg update (whatever that is) when I try to watch older breaking bad shows on YouTube I get an error message (unsupported content) any ideas why? I'm able to watch trailers and have plenty of gigs left to use..... maybe update all firmware then software then flash- flash is a bugger at times. |

without stating the obvious, have you checked your fan? it might be running but can still clog up. I would clean it or if necessary replace it. Your CPU should not be running at them temps. Yes it could be a faulty one but it is more likely it is not being cooled properly. Also check your updates, sometimes you get compatibility issues if the rest of your system isnt updated properly and then microsoft chuck another update at you

I just got a new laptop with Windows7 and I'm doing all the updats I can while I have access to the free wifi in my hotel. Yeah, they keep taking longer and longer. But, the last thing I want is to use up the limited data I get through my mobile phone service with updates. Its the hotel . its free wifi they have limited bandwidth. everyone is using it |

Date failed to mention he still lives at home with mum & dad... 30+ 'really' "really" ur looking for friendship so it shouldn't bother u or are u that shallow. Maybe he is saving money till he finds the right woman. Then buys his mansion with cash. Really getting a house with a mortgage doesn't mean u own it. In fact the bank owns it so whos the big shot now. Just because he stays with his parents doesn't mean anything. You are way to shallow. I feel sorry for him. Not sure what you mean by debugging. This could mean a few things. To really work out the quirks you may want to perform a clean install ( which sounds like you may have done ). This includes reformatting the HDD and installing a fresh copy of Windows. And yes their are several updates that take place (especially with 7) that are time consuming and best not to shut down your machine ( shuting down tends to trigger them) when you are waiting for about the first month or so after this takes place. But yeah it sounds like everything is normal  .
funny or rather bs when u have ur system updated or not. u can shut updates off, and turning the system off and on wont trigger an update. True you can updates off all together on 7 or earlier by simply right clicking My Computer and going down and selecting properties. This is the System Properties window. Click on the update tab and shut them off. Or that is one way to turn it off... prolly the best one. Not sure I'd recommend it. But you can do it. On XP many applications will not function until the system has been properly updated however. Can't speak for 7.. prolly not the same thing... a little safer running those updates though. They tend to take place when restarting or shutting down. And they take a long time at first... sometimes hours. It is all over the net that it is NOT safer to run the updates . It gives holes in security.Mirage u just contraindicated urself saying maybe its ok to turn off then saying u should . make up ur mind. This is the computer world its 1 ands 0s yes and no. With windows its a proven fact you dont do updates as it just provides more security loop holes and problems. windows update causes problems <- google that and u get a bunch of links . if there was no problems and it was ok to update on any version of windows then there would be no links, but there is . Hence dont update windows. This is not a True UNIX OS aka Amiga or SUN or SGI or ALPHA and no mac is linux so yes u update TRUE UNIX and Linux. Good thing is Amiga OS is so perfected it rarely needed updated. |

LOL, we're not nearly as rare as you think guys!Speaking for myself, I love FPS xbox games (Resident Evil, Mass Effect, Halo, The Darkness..etc.) Just bought Kinect. Kinda disappoint, I won't lie. well you have 8bit architecture with a true used 32bit cpu big bottleneck -8bit graphics. go ps3 much better - true real-time multitasking true 48 bit superior rgbe graphics yeah true if the programmers suck the game sucks . At least i can watch a movie down load several games and chat in the ps network all at the same time without stuttering - thats multitasking. or play a game while this is going on . on free network- really who pays twice to get on-line - oh yeah you do with so called live. but have fun |

I am debugging an HP laptop with Windows 7 and I swear each incarnation of Windows their Update gets SLOWER! It isn't me is it? I got 150G of 4G pipeline and at this time of night there should be hardly anyone on line unless a lot of night owls are going hooty hoo! I seriously swear with each reincarnation of Windows things just keep getting SLOWER . I never update better not to . or for x86 I get PCLINUXOS |

Your CPU is an AMD and acting abnormally; totally makes me suspect the CPU. AMD's though great power wise (high frequencies and great price) tend to overheat easier then their Intel counterparts. Look into cooling systems (fans, liquid coolers ect.) and new CPUs. Most likely the problem..... a chance it is not though. wrong again amd is a rip - and it was solved again trying to gain notoriety - as again he said it was solved |
