boiseboytoplay...... I'm not sure if you'll find that in your manual cause "free" Mp3's are not easy to find. If you want to listen to music I can recommend www.projectplaylist.com as a good site to search for music and listen to full songs. You can use that same site to throw the playlist up on your myspace/facebook site.

I have two options for you. The main thing that sounds like is happening is you need to upgrade your codec's. to update all of them just get the K-Lite codec pack

http://www.filehippo.com/download_klite_codec_pack/

But my recommended method of running ALL video files is VLC player. Its Open-source (Free) and runs 90% of all video files.

Hope this helps

You can try this - it looks nice, but it takes a little basic learning

<HTML>
<body>
<form>
<INPUT TYPE="text" SIZE="30" value="<img src=&quot http://www.yourlink.com/theimage.jpg&quot>">
</form>

first line - Its html tag. yeah onto the next line

second line - <form> this allows you to put a form in your page and make input boxes and buttons

third line - heres the fun part.
input type="text" : leave that be. Its making it a input box
size = "30" : size of the box. Change size at will
value = "" : put your url of the image but change the quotes to &quot

make sure when you use &quot you leave a space after it.

I know this looks like much, but it will look professional and when you get the hang of it, it's nice. If you have any more questions....send me a message.

If your looking to really into making a database I could recommend Xampp - Keeps SQL datatbase information all on a USB key if you want. I find it really handy - If you wanted me to set up the webpages to process the information.....I might be up to it. Just leave me a message.

Heres a link to some software that monitors your battery power. Maybe we can see what your battery is doing and see if its the battery that might be causing the issues

My computer uses an Intel 975X chipset and is currently running a Core2Duo E6600 processor. What are my options if I wanted to upgrade my CPU?

Also- what would be a decent (yet easy to install) aftermarket heatsink I could get for said CPU? I bought one, but it was a total pain-in-the-keester to install, so I just went ahead and installed the stock Intel cooler instead.

Just a couple questions before I make a recommendation
1: price range?
2: can you tell me what your motherboard is (model numbers work fine, brand helps even more in the search) you may have a 975X chipset but It all depends on what the motherboard can handle

I have a laptop someone gave me. It has a low battery. I bought a cord that plugs it into the wall. I am sure it is the correct voltage.

I plug it in and a note pops up that I should switch from battery to outlet power.

I don't know how to do that.

Then a light comes on indicating it seems to be working on electric cord power.

Then after a while it crashes as if it has no power.

What's going on and what should I do?

JB

Have you tried running the cord in without the battery? Batteries have been known to suck the power dry in older laptops when charging

How do you change your url address?

If you mean your home page, under IE explorer goto tools> internet options> and under homepage enter your URL you wish to start out in when you load IE.
For Firefox its pretty much the same. Just click Tools > options and your there.
