"dear" usually means a scammer, as they don't realise the current usage. "Hun" is one that particularly grates: overly familiar, and quite Ordinary! Basically the trouble is in these early messages, before meeting in person, we should be using the person's name, and to use a generic address form is actually being lazy, too casual, too impersonal.
