I guess that by conventional wisdom, it's assumed to be the mans place to initiate, and I never thought I really had much of a problem with that. Unfortunately, at this point in my life, it seems I do.
Fifteen years,(two girlfriends, and their five children) ago I remember being far more outgoing and gregarious, and found it much easier to strike up a conversation, based on nothing, with almost anyone. I'd never really been one for small talk anyhow, (me make BIG talk), and now I find myself wondering what to say without talking too much, or being too personal, or over bearing, etc. But that's my problem,...... not yours!!  Or maybe it is.........  |
