It works to some depending on the distance.Lets say if you are netx door country it will be easy and it will sound like you are in the same country but different towns and both sides you should contact each other in many ways like facebook,here on Mingle2,emails and even phone calls and also try see each other in person at least once a month

I belive age difference is not a problem as long as it it what you really need nothing can disturb you.I know everybody sees things different from what the other person sees so if you really know what your heart whats then you can go for it..
