I wasn't comparing Hunter S to Lovecraft or Poe, I was saying that I prefered his work, and not all of Hunter's work was drug induced "Songs of the Doomed" was quite a morbid and solumn work. I like Pearl Jam. Sorry i sounded so defensive. I am going to sleep now. I think you are lovely and probably every mans dream. Including Poe and Hunters. |

Lovecraft was an idiot, and his work was stolen from many many other writers, nothing he wrote was purely origanol. His works were stolen from other writers then made into a compolation. Poe is excellent, but Hunter S. Thompson is the most incredible writer EVER. you may be right and I am wrong about the dates Have you ever read about Cthulhu? Poe made me melt in long time lament and misery/horror. Lovecraft is the one who gave me nightmares. HSt is a bit of a stretch in comparison. He is not a poetic license he is an existentialist that is spewing drugged reality hoping that it is embraced by noncomformist who are likewise minded sycophants |
