The harder you try the less she will want you... so don't try. If she cares she will come back, if she doesn't then you can force someone who doesn't care about you to be with you.

ouch...did you type that wrong?pitchfork

That being said, maybe we should start our own group with multiple husbands... Of course we'd call them harems and why marry them... laugh bigsmile

I bet out male counterparts would not appreciate, but where do I sign up.

Well I collect cabana boys, will that work? Ask YellowRose I've sent her a few.. Of course she complained that they weren't breathing from the long trip in the box but I say I sent them as a good friend would do... laugh

rofl rofl

I didn't read all that he wrote b/c well it was just too dang much but commenting on what you say... I am not completely sure but I would think that the divorce rate would be lower within those groups.. The women I have seen interviewed just seem to have a different mindset... I think jealousy is less than what we express or feel, if not then it's held back very well.. I'm not sure what kind of personality it takes but certainly not an independent one... I'm not saying that's the way to go by any means... I just think that those women don't think like most of us...

That being said, maybe we should start our own group with multiple husbands... Of course we'd call them harems and why marry them... laugh bigsmile

OK so here is what it really comes down to. The old joke, men are like parking spaces. The best one's are taken and the rest are handicapped. So the solution is simple either double park or quit bitching about having to circle until some one decides she's done with the space you want and then if you can beat the others to the spot you can park for a while.

I've seen most men. I figure it really comes down to share a good one or keep a looser that no one else wanted all to yourself.

Now from the guys perspective. I knew that eventually married life was going to turn into married life. Both sides get busy with the effort of carving out a life. Then one day a young woman comes in and decides she wants the parking space your wife has. She's young and attractive and most importantly she makes you feel like you are the answer to all the world's ills. She looks at you with eyes that don't harbor the resentment of last nights struggle over how long little johnny should be grounded, or how to juggle the finances to cover all of the surprises of the month. No her eyes sparkle with hope and promise and a little naughty delight. A man is only a man and as you can tell from the news and from most of your friends eventually that makes him get stupid and believe that this is really the one. So he gets caught ruins his life and his wife's life. Leaves their kid in a broken home. All because he didn't realize that after 5 years this woman would be in the same place as his ex-wife.

How much better if everyone is honest. There is no deception. The new person breaths life into the family as a whole. Who knows maybe the new person even helps relieve some of the stress in the home and rekindles passion for all. Passion waxes and wains, it is commitment and dedication that gets families through the hard time until passion can rise again.

But most American women are conditioned by cultural pressures reinforced by religious/media/legal pressures to be doggedly committed to a system that leaves half of them divorced many of them multiple times and leaves most of them raising children with out fathers in the home. Suppose I would normally call it greedy but considering all it really brings is misery greed just doesn't seem to fit.

oh please....ill ill ill

it appears that someone hasn't left the dark ages ill

the guy is just giving an opinion, I think he should be able to do so and expect civil conversation in return, not to be attacked or run down.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion.
Isn't that why the topic was a question and not a statement.. for example *polygamy is evil-Who agrees with me*

I would not live a polygamist lifestyle myself.. but to each their own.
their life is not mine to live.

Yes... but he is also offending women with his opinion.
He expresses that laws NOT allowing polygamy is the cause of Divorce and Broken families. No...it is people that cause divorce and broken families. Its not the religion it the person. There is always going to be divorce. No matter what the religion. He nor another man can guarantee me that I will be happy forever. That isnt realistic. Just because he has three wives (just assuming) does not mean that they will NOT leave him. His way of life does NOT guarantee that he will not get divorced.

I just think they are all out cool, But I don't have one cause I just can't stand any type of pain, I have been thru too much pain when I had to take treatment for a condition I had, one full year of nothing but needles, so I avoid pain at all cost, unless it's a broken heart.flowerforyou

Its not bad pain. I had my done on the side of my rib cage to my (whispering) my love handles ( i will deny that I have them). Its uncomfortable, but its not pain. Its better the pricking your finger for blood. Hmmm, my best example is tickling...it more of a bothersome then pain.

 Can a man and woman who've had a sexual/emotional relationship ever just "be friends" after all that?
yes and sometimes it becomes sexual again:smile:

I have to agree with that.
