The original thread was "ware the ladies" and really, doesn't this still fit, even if it wasn't intended.

And here ^ is one.

No, I don't see them as trying to monitor MY morals per se.

Though I do see things which disturb me.

Not just on forums, but in all areas of life.

For example: The practice of letting little girls run around with the words "hottie" and "cutie pie" written on the hind ends of their shorts.

That just ain't right!

You know it and I know it.

Then the whole fixation on Britney and Hannah Montana!

Yet Cops patrol the forums because parents let their kids do all these things and then ***** about it when a real predator does take advantage.

Ya see what I'm saying?

It ain't the governments responsibility to do this for you!

It's yours!

I have to agree. There will always be predators, but I think it just makes the issue worse when the fashion is to let preteens and early teens run around wearing clothing that looks more appropriate on prostitutes. And clothing with words on the ass or boobs just makes me wanna scream. Parents need to help kids develop a sense of appropriateness. Not encourage them to become little Brittney Spears. I don't include older teens because they may have their own jobs, buying their own clothes with their own money. In if parents had done their job earlier, they make good choices. If the partents didn't, these young adults are in for a harder time of growing up.

I know, it sounds odd coming from someone who looks like me. But the thing is, when you wait until you are a little older to cut loose and go wild, you can do it with a lot more knowledge on how to avoid various dangers and pitfalls and it is far more safer. That's why I love the one lady's screen name, Wildside of35. It is true. Living on the wild side when older is so much more fun in some ways.

and there ya go!flowerforyou drinker

Tragic to who?

Parent yeah.

But to the rest of you it really means nothing.

Well she said she was 17 in her profile and I see it's been deactivated now so either she ran away or they pulled the plug on her.

Common don't even get me started on absentee parents or government trying to micromanage things. Remember my blood pressure. explode

Besides... we've kind of hijacked this thread ya know?

What the heck was the original question again?? laugh

Sorry Brother!

This thread was high-jacked for the reason that she was too young to be here.

And I'll do that every time I see one.

Ya see?

Anther cop busted while trying to disrupt honest folks!

I'm pretty sure you're way off base here common. Have another look at the profile and the picture.

For one thing the cops don't masquerade as 17yo kids - they create a 13 or 11 year old character or even younger.

Secondly they post different types of pictures - trying to look innocent and naive.

Some years back I was friends with a guy on the SWAT team and he was involved in the stings sometimes. HE had some fantastic stories to tell!

And why would you want to "bust" a cop trolling for predators and pedophiles? Do you want to protect that type of criminal?

Well, either way, she looks about 13 or 14 years old. And the 17 could be a lie as well. Who knows. I don't. I just know that she seems way to young. Even some of her posts read like an early teenager rather than an older teen.

Absolutely!

Do you see those fake/trap profiles as monitoring YOUR morals??

How so??

You're dead-on with the "parents monitoring activities" but that's fodder for another thread. I try not to get into that discussion because it's hard on my blood pressure.

Interesting...

What made you consider my reply a "strong" one?? I was simply stating my thoughts and asking some questions.

Now you're insinuating that *I* am somehow involved in this conspiracy you see?

Do you think posting fake profiles on social sites in order to catch pedophiles is "overstepping their bounds"??

You seem to have some interesting viewpoints.

I see no conspiracy.

I think posting fake profiles is an overstepping of boundaries simply because - as a responsible adult, those of us on these 'social sites' should be able to catch on to the predators.

And nip them right in the bud. Just like the Gal did on the adult thing.

Also, if a parent is doing his/her job instilling morals, monitoring activities, and so on...

Then there would be a whole lot less of this BS going on.

I personally don't need any type of police to monitor my morals.

Perhaps more of us should be the same?

Yes... but there is such a thing as compassion...flowerforyou

I feel compassion an abused child or a dog tied out in the snow.

Sad when anyone succumbs to the pressures of life and feels there is no other way out....

Sad when anyone is so messed up on drugs that they unknowingly kill themselves, but knew the dangers anyhow....

Sad the pain his family feels in this loss....

Empathy....

Compassion....

We come into the world surrounded by loved ones and if you are damn lucky...when you die you'll be surrounded by loved ones.

Nicely written, but so sorry - not enough.

I've already lived well past all predictions, and all compassion except for the innocents has long been burned from my hardened heart.

Heath and Brad Renfro...What is going on man???? sad

Signs of the times.

Got bunches of folks getting blown all to hell in a war. Folks starving to death all over the world.

And folks are upset because one ACTOR dies.

Go figure.

Nice reply.

Look again at the name and the profile.

As for busting them? It is my duty as an American to make sure they don't overstep their bounds. It is also my duty to make them learn to do it better.

And why did you respond so strongly?

Perhaps you were this person?

I don't mind the reminder. I usually try to check my posts before actually posting them! Nobody is perfect after all.ohwell

Heh-heh!

My Ex was! Just ask her!

I just key in on certain things. Been debating in forums for a long time.

I've learned that when young ones come on with this whole "Oh I need help because I 'm so afraid" sort of thing going on - then they are a cop and they are not really here for what we are.

But when the young ones come on for real? It is our responsibility to help them.

because i wanted to get on here and if i put my real bday i wouldnt be aloud!!! but i put straight up in my profile wat my real age is so ........................

The reason you would not be aloud here is because you are only 17 and this is an ADULT dating site. You are not an adult. huh huh

Yeah, the young ones are pretty easy to pick out. Some of them are cops looking for predators. Others are just young ones that need a friend to talk to.

Sort of need to protect them -huh? The young ones that is - not the cops. Just as soon see them here talking to some of us as to see them doing something dangerous.

By the way - it is allowed - not aloud.

grumble grumble grumble That is one of the words I mess up a lot. You would think I'd pick up on it!laugh

That's alright - I picked up on it.

I do that.

Especially when I picking on someone - and it's not you in this case.

It's the cop I'm after. He just has to learn to spell better.
