The point is not what you spend, it is the thought and atmosphere. I know if I buy dinner for anyone, I never think of it in those terms. I remember the memory with it, not how much less I have afterwards. Yes, and I'm not saying that you have to spend alot of money, some of the best dates I have ever had cost next to nothing, but the fact that you complain about it says more than the fact that you don't have the money to spend. |

I think you're missing the larger picture here we are all saying in so many different ways. When you meet a person you connect with, there is no second guessing or worrying about all this minutia, as there are no "games". If you have questions, you lay them out with the other person and resolve it. I just think different circumstances would have made this a little different outcome. |

If she blows you off, wouldn't it be worth it? Wouldn't it be just cheaper for a hooker? Are you dating for sex. If the answer is yes, then sure. A hooker would be cheaper. However, then the commercial might play out like this: $100= Night with hot hooker $150= ER bill for strange bumpy burning rash and discharge $35= Antibiotics and cream Genital Warts and Herpes= PRICELESS Who's to say this girl wasn't infected? And who's to say all the other girls aren't infected, either? Look, I don't care about this ***** who blew me off anymore. I'm glad it didn't go through now. I was disappointed at first because I didn't know what I did wrong. Now that I know I really didn't do anything seriously wrong, I can move on. I think if she was going to school I was going to, it'd be a lot different situation... |

JD money is just that, money. Why hoard it? If you think in those terms this young... my goodness. Do you feel guilty everytime you thought outside the bun and blew five dollars on yourself? I see what you're saying, but try to remember your dinner dates are an opportunity to get to know someone and..... can you put a price on that? Think of those MasterCard commercials... $50 dinner with wonderful woman. $10 flowers for said woman Second date= Priceless The point is not what you spend, it is the thought and atmosphere. yeah, im glad i didnt drop 25-30 bucks on dinner :X right there is why she didn't go out with you..... I dropped a lot of money on my last girlfriend, and it I would be in great financial shape right now if it weren't for that. She still owes me 50 dollars for my "going away dinner" that she didn't get money out of the ATM for... She made me pay for it, and then the restaurant doubled my tip on it for some reason and a 40 dollar dinner became a 50 dollar bill. So **** that... |
