whats happenin Ska? Could you explain "ain't gone front"? I'm Canadian and buzzed so I need extra help with this. Second, I never heard of those bands, so you must be spinnin some super fine herb! Stoners! Ain't gone front...in urban vernacular, means I'm not going to lie or otherwise pretend to be something I'm not. Yes sir, I get toasty with my morning coffee, usually with some old reggae and dub on the sound system. Those bands are all the '60s reggae roots stuff. Skankin' and rankin' full-stop. Yeah, I'm smokin' the dank. :) |

I actually prefer a smaller cup-size, but that's just me. Too big, and I get all claustrophobic.

And how could I forget! Cheese factor aside, Trans-Siberian Orchestra has the most elaborate stage show imaginable. "Over the top" is an understatement.

Oh, and any of those tiresome Eddie Vedder/Scott Wieland knock-offs.

So-called "smooth R&B" honks a massive choad, cookie monster death metal is for sh*theads, and that wanky hippie jam band crap makes me want to saw my ears off, crush them into little wads, and stuff them into the bleeding holes in the sides of my heads.

There IS no one special, every woman I meet turns out to have hidden agendas and ulterior motives, or they're just too damn pushy...but if there were someone special, I'd play her my current favorite band, the Offenders -- Stay. A sweet, close-dancing number.

Best live shows I've seen are Iggy Pop, Ramones, the Cramps, and the Clash. Kiss were pretty awesome too, but I couldn't help but laugh when Paul Stanley's wig started slipping and he had to duck backstage for a minute. Yeah, that's a wig.

I've seen Sonic Youth 3 times...'09 was great, '94 was strange, and '05 I'd rather forget.
Kiss, Alice Cooper, Aerosmith, Cheap Trick, Ramones, Motorhead, the Cramps, Iggy Pop, Nick Cave, Tom Waits, and the Jesus & Mary Chain can go in the great pile. Strange (but in a good way) gigs include the Butthole Surfers, Ween, Dread Zeppelin, Captured!By Robots, and Meat Puppets. Gigs I'd rather forget: Bikini Kill. Not knowing any better, I got too close to the stage and got slapped, pinched, and kicked by a bunch of cute girls. Freakin' nightmare, that was. |

Just wondering if anyone has any actual hands-on experience here. I hated standing by helpless while my bud destroyed himself. Wish I'd known what to do.

My best friend and long-time bandmate killed himself a few years ago...he got strung out on opiates and was drinking heavily, but he told me more than once believed he had demons..."hellhound's on his trail". I didn't know anything at all about deliverance ministry then, but I think he might have been a good candidate...

You know...powers, principalities, thrones, dominions and all. The war for our souls. Seems to me the Bible wouldn't tell me to put on the full armor of God if I weren't going to get in a scrap with old sloughfoot's crew now and again.

The wars in the heavenlies are a subject in which I have some interest. Does anyone here have any experience in this field...beyond reading a couple of Peretti novels, I mean?
