I was thinking of Nigel Jackson not Micheal Harner... sorry!

Jotting them down. I know and read Harner's book, and agree that it was helpful. Haven't caught the others.

They are all fantastic writers. I would recommend to anyone involved in witchcraft to read Robin Artisson and anyone involved in Greek Reconstructionism to read Drew Campbell's 'Old Stones, New Temples.' Alan Watts is great for any pagan(my fave of his is 'The Book on the Taboo Against Knowing Who You Are'.) Peter Kingsley is a very readable scholar('Reality' is amazing.) Oh yes, and 'God Against the Gods' by Jonathon Kirsch is fantastic- everyone should read this book. Walter Burkert is another scholar, to my knowledge he is not pagan, but his book 'Greek Religion' provides a lot of helpful information on Hellenism. And yes Michael Harner's book is amazing... it makes me very sad that he has converted away from paganism.

I know that this is an old thread, but it is a good one, so I want to add to it :)

I really like Alan Watts, Peter Kingsley, Robin Artisson, Drew Campbell, Jonathon Kirsch, Pierre Chuvin, Walter Burkert, C. Kerenyi, and Michael Harner. Some of these authors may not actually be pagan, but they did contribute to my pagan education. :) These writers have greatly influenced my beliefs.

I am a bisexual lady in Louisiana. I mostly date women, though.

I practice Greek Polytheism. I also dabble in Shamanism and know a good bit about Asatru as a few of my friends are Asatru. One of the reasons that I am trying out online dating is because I live in the Bible Belt(N. Louisiana to be exact) and it is very difficult to meet people who are polytheists.
