pimps in the pulpit?

Wow...it's sad to see people so mislead when it comes to God. What you
need to know is that God is holy (sinless), and righteous. He loves us with a love that exceeds that of a parent for their child. He wants each of us to invest time in knowing Him and building a relationship with Him. However, we can't do that correctly without accepting the Gift of Salvation that Jesus provided for us on the cross. It's a free gift. Trying to be a good person won't get you there, because just one sin makes us unrighteous. We all have to admit that everyone sins....no exceptions. Well, except Jesus who is perfect because He is God. One of you said that there is concentration on hell at one end and on His love and mercy at the other. In fact, the concentration should be on both ends. Both God's wrath toward those that don't accept the gift of Jesus' blood, and the love and mercy provide through that same blood. Jesus was the perfect that sacrificed Himself for the imperfect (us). He took the wrath of God so we don't have to pay that price. It's offered to all who will accept it. That being said, there are some preachers that are con-men. There are various incidents of priests molesting little boys. However, that just means we have to be careful in where you attend church. Always be careful. If something seems fishy, then go somewhere else, but don't write every church off because one is doing things crooked. Just keep looking until what is being preached is what the Bible says. By the way, I preached for three years, and I don't want a cent from any of you. ;) Nor did I get paid the entire time I preached. ...and I won't try to molest your children or date your girlfriend....or boyfriend. If you have any questions, feel free to email and ask. I'll be more than happy to answer. Naturally, if you're going to be silly and ask things similar to "Can God make a rock that God can't lift?", I may choose to ignore it...or you can have the answer now. Yes, God can make a rock that He can't lift. He makes the rock and then gives His word that He will never lift it. Because He never lies, He can never lift it. Although, no other silly questions. We're not here to test God. |
