The mattress humping thread was one of the most funniest and memorable. This particular post is from the bygone days when this site was known as Just Say Hi.I'm certain that the O/P felt deeply embarrassed from exposing his little secret hence his quick de-activation.However the thread remained active for days afterwards.Yep!them were the days of great forum participation.Good Times! Sappho of Lesbos is perhaps the first great female poet still known to us today, and she remains one of the very best poets of all time, regardless of gender. She is so revered for her erotic love poetry that we get our terms "sapphic" and "lesbian" from her name and island of residence.
A thing of beauty is a joy forever Its loveliness increases;it will never pass into nothingness ... Eros harrows my heart A wind on desolate mountains uprooting oaks Tread lightly, she is near Under the snow, Speak gently, she can hear The daisies grow. All her bright golden hair Tarnished with rust, She that was young and fair Fallen to dust. Lily-like, white as snow, She hardly knew She was a woman, so Sweetly she grew. Coffin-board, heavy stone, Lie on her breast, I vex my heart alone, She is at rest. Peace, Peace, she cannot hear Lyre or sonnet, All my life's buried here, Heap earth upon it. |

HOW DID THE MELODY GO ? I frantically search for this word I know To quaff alas my insatiable thirst Have you seen where it might have gone to stow Or has it abandoned hope being versed? Oh where have you gone you treacherous word! It is written but was never once read And I cannot seem to find that coward That will never have a place in my head. Might I moist my lips with sweet nepenthe As I forget this lost soul I once knew Please forgive this spineless mentality But I believe you would have done it too. I still try remember that poignant word, How did the melody go.. How absurd. |

Questions of the Flesh

What creates the spark that ignites passion? Hormones... How can the fires of desire endure? Respect, trust, humor, honor, and............hormones... Where in the depths of the soul are true emotions hidden? The core... When will the time be right to express such feelings? When true love is reciprocated... Why do words fail to capture the moment? Because emotions are in control... Can a heart be true to just one love? Of course... Is it wrong to seek the pleasures of the flesh? Of course not... Does the yearning for closeness strengthen the will? Absolutely... Who will quench my thirst for intimacy? The one you love who loves you back... Oh Goddess of Love, let it be you. Just guessing, but I think you have to say please :) |

The thundering waves are calling me home, home to you The pounding sea is calling me home, home to you On a dark new year's night On the west coast of Clare I heard your voice singing Your eyes danced the song Your hands played the tune T'was a vision before me We left the music behind as the dance carried on As we stole away to the seashore We smelt the brine, felt the wind in our hair And with sadness you paused Suddenly,I knew that you'd have to go Your world was not mine, your eyes told me so Yet it was there,I felt the crossroads of time And I wondered why As we cast our gaze on the tumbling sea A vision came o'er me Of thundering hooves and beating wings In clouds above As you turned to go,I heard you call my name You were like a bird in a cage spreading its wings to fly The old ways are lost, you sang as you flew And I wondered why The thundering waves are calling me home, home to you The pounding sea is calling me home, home to you The thundering waves are calling me home, home to you The pounding sea is calling me home, home to you Godspeed!CyPoet |
