While life is tough and can get you down, I highly recommend following the philosophy of stoicism. It is a healthy and mature way to look at life. I myself have always been a stoic, but more so with age, and didn't really have a name for it until my twenties. Look it up on YouTube or at your public library when you've a chance.

I'm a Game Master/Dungeon Master that runs weekly games for a group of players. I've often thought that it would be so much fun to meet a woman that enjoys the hobby, as well. So, I'm putting out my feelers to see if any women like to play or would like to play. If you're not sure what D&D is, then I'll just describe it as a boardgame without a board, using lots of imagination and creativity.
