Ok so you did a large upgrade from Windows7 to 10 and then you got all of the updates too, well, first off Windows 10 and win7 have the same minimum system requirements so that's probably not the problem. However you just moved a ton of data and you said it took forever, So based on the age of your machine and the length of install time my guess it's around 90% chance you have a mechanical hard drive. Way to tell is if you hear a little motor spin up in a spot other than your CD area and stays spinning except for Hibernation mode
Or in shutdown. If you hear this noise you need to run defrag on the hard drives. Note if you have SSD Run trim instead |
