I'm using a vintage stripped down Pioneer in one of my systems right now. When I say stripped down I mean it.

take a look at my sunroom system

I love listening to this system in this tiny 10'X 13' room.

This is a stripped Pioneer that can be picked up for $50 to $75 and a stripped Magnavox DVD player $29. I've converted them into music monster makers. This little setup has rivaled $100,000 systems.

I love finding these little setups and helping folks convert their spare rooms into DIY music palaces. A lot of people think you have to be wealthy to have great sound. Not so! It's how you set things up and a few tweaky secrets.

Nice ... cool flowerforyou

Yes, Ruth me too. I am into herbal teas and chamomile does have a calming affect  .

Also too, I now have looked at and try a dozen types of meditation practises and stick to one now. Meditation for me gives me clarity of mind and a peacefulness ... it is a very good daily practise and like you have seen many benefits for a person's well-being and for good health.

You have a good day!

An awesome blog post on the use of drugs in magic (and this applies to visions IMO).

I don't know why the link isn't working, but if you copy and paste it, the post comes up. Sorry. ohwell

Hi Ruth,

I checked out the link. This is what I think. My background in Botany and Biochemistry having at one time having the occupation of a Laboratory and Reseach Tech, and out of the field for many years into another plus the fact that I cook from scratch trying to eliminate consuming processed foods and yes buying herbs and using natural supplements may play a factor after reading that article.
However, I do not relate Alchemistry today as being an art of magic, that I disagree on but, in a time and era when less knowledge was known, Alchemistry did fall into the category of belief of magic i.e. potions etc.

It could be the supplements I had been using had some play, thank you. I guess I am too logical to want to accept a spiritual factor at play, and sometimes teeter-tooter to this day but then my skepticalness sways me back.

I do know too about ancient civilizations using herbs for medicinal purposes and to this day. I took a course in Christianity and World Religions at a Theological College so I am aware of what religions say about visions and for one example of the Native American Spirituality using Sweat Lodges to conjour up visions using herbs to "see" things.

Sometimes the word "mystery" is applicable and good in a sense we do not have a complete understanding but getting there. I do not like to dismiss possibilities, not other's beliefs for you never know until known.

Thank you again Ruth for poinitng me in that direction. Have a great day! flowerforyou

Ladywind, I have had an open vision and more than once and never knew what to call it until now. These occurrences of an open vision, why or how come they happen? Do you know?

I did not want to mention it to anyone in the past in the event they may think me strange or contribute it to drugs which I was not on when they occurred. I most definitly did not want to mention it to my immediate family for they may think I am losing it or would want to get me medical attention. So, this happens to other people and others are normal like me. If so, this is good to hear and know then. For, I am an intelligent person who does not do drugs nor drinks more than a few glasses of wine in a whole year, just on a special occassion or so.

Ladywind, do you know of anyone who can interpret a vision? Mine happen when I am fully awake during the day time and at all times when I am doing something that does not relate to the vision about. Do they have meaning? Where do they come from and why? What do you do with a vision too? Why did you bring it up? Can you share more on them for it seems you are collectiong stories of people who have visions. Thanks!

Also, I do not want it to sound like I have many or visions daily for I do not and have had only several in about I guess, the last twelve years or so. I would think that visions would have to stem from the subconscience or conscience mind, where else. Maybe it originates from imagination of people who are creative ... for I know I have a lot of creativity, playing a few different instruments, I sing and enjoy watercolor painting ... etc. What do you know and can share. I would like to hear and learn more for I am curious too.

Thanks for sharing Seakolony flowerforyou

My flower sign write up is pretty close to who I am in a generalized way ...

Orchid

"My uniqueness is my effectiveness."

January 21 – February 19

Those with the zodiac flower sign of the orchid are curious and inventive. You can be contradictory but you know exactly where you are coming from. You have a dreamy persona and people are attracted to your unique, sometimes eccentric ways. You have a different way of looking at the world. You are a natural humanitarian, and love to unravel mysteries. You are also very good at organizing or completing tasks that allow you to establish order. See Aquarius,

I just noticed I have two flowers flowerforyou

Carnation

"Simplicity is its own reward."

December 22 – January 21

Those with the carnation flower sign are beautifully adept at putting things in order, and organizing. You are strong willed and determined for others to see your point of view. You are a natural leader, and others look to you to lean on. You can be driven and determined and this makes you a strong personality. You are no stranger to hard work, and you like to get things done your way. You like security, particularly if you are building a comfort zone with your own two hands. See Capricorn.

Much better as two flowers in who I am ... for, being just an orchid alone was a general description, adding a carnation write up makes me feel whole or a more complete description of who I am waving

Thank you again Seakolony.flowers
