Trump struggles to explain why Obama’s jobs numbers were better than his

"Donald Trump has repeatedly struggled to explain why the number of jobs created during his presidency compared unfavorably with the new employment figures under Barack Obama.

Presented with a chart which depicted the unemployment rate from the peak of the recession, the president was asked to account for a slower rate of job creation since he entered the White House".

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/trump-obama-jobs-numbers-economy-meet-the-press-a8971181.html

Here's a question that I have never gotten an answer to... When the economy began its recovery in October of 2010 and the jobs numbers began improving, all of a sudden the right told us that you shouldn't pay attention to U3 unemployment numbers because it didn't account for those who had given up looking for a job. When the U6 numbers started rapidly improving, we were then told not to listen to those numbers and that the only true number was the labor participation rate. However, as soon as Trump was elected, all these same people began solely citing the U3 numbers and completely forgot about U6 and labor participation. Why the immediate change in the analysis?

UBS: World economy ‘one step away from global recession'

"The world economy is on the leading edge of a recession, UBS said on Monday, which could prompt all major central banks to ease monetary policy in response.

The U.S.-China trade war is amplifying fears of a global downturn —which according to UBS means President Donald Trump may get his wish for the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates".

Trump’s corruption keeps getting more obvious

"Whenever Rudy Giuliani gives a round of interviews to defend President Trump in the Russia scandal, there’s a good chance he’ll blurt out something that implicates his client in new wrongdoing or admit that Trump has been repeatedly lying about some element of the case. On Sunday he was at it again".

Iranians say their ‘bones breaking’ under US sanctions

"TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — As the U.S. piles sanction after sanction on Iran, it’s the average person who feels it the most.

From a subway performer’s battered leather hat devoid of tips to a bride-to-be’s empty purse, the lack of cash from the economic pressure facing Iran’s 80 million people can be seen everywhere".

Bernie Sanders unveils sweeping student debt cancellation plan

"Bernie Sanders unveils sweeping student debt cancellation plan".

"Democratic presidential candidate and Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is unveiling a student loan plan that would wipe out more than $1.5 trillion in American student debt.

The plan, first reported by The Washington Post, goes further than proposals by fellow presidential candidates in that it aims to cancel all of the student debt held by 46 million Americans (including graduate school debt). Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) recently unveiled a plan aiming to cancel up to $50,000 in student debt based on household income, which her team said would help 42 million Americans".

"WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump announced new sanctions against Iran Monday that he said would deny the regime's leaders access to financial instruments.

These U.S. states are hit hardest by Trump's tariffs

"With trade tensions between the U.S. and China rising since about March 2018, the economic effects are becoming clearer.

Following the most recent 25% tariffs on Chinese imports that Trump announced on May 10, a note from JP Morgan took a look at which states are most susceptible to this latest round.

Tennessee, Illinois, and California were the states hit the hardest when weighing imports as a percentage of state GDP, according to JP Morgan’s analysis".

If you read the Mueller report the IRA is a Russian organization that comes onto forums and post political commentary designed to mislead.

Exposing Russia’s Effort to Sow Discord Online: The Internet Research Agency and Advertisements

"On February 16, 2018, Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller III indicted 13 Russian individuals and three Russian organizations for engaging in operations to interfere with U.S. political and electoral processes, including the 2016 presidential election. This was a significant step forward in exposing a surreptitious social media campaign and holding accountable those responsible for this attack. The indictment spells out in exhaustive detail the breadth and systematic nature of this conspiracy, dating back to 2014, as well as the multiple ways in which Russian actors misused online platforms to carry out their clandestine operations.

Throughout the indictment, Mueller lays out important facts about the activities of the Internet Research Agency (IRA)—the notorious Russian “troll” farm—and its operatives".

Here’s Everything The Mueller Report Says About How Russian Trolls Used Social Media

"Special counsel Robert Mueller’s report on Russian interference in the 2016 election and the Trump campaign provides one of the most detailed looks at how Russia’s Internet Research Agency — the infamous Kremlin-linked troll farm — tried to hijack the 2016 election and swing the vote in favor of Donald Trump".

Russia worked hard to recruit social media users to campaign for Trump

"We already knew that the Internet Research Agency (IRA), which is essentially a farm of bots and trolls, exposed 126 million Americans on Facebook to Russian-backed propaganda during the 2016 US presidential election. But today's release of the redacted Mueller report has shed light on new details, including the great lengths the IRA went to in using social media to provoke social discord in the US. The report from Special Counsel Robert Mueller, titled "The Investigation Into Russian Interference In The 2016 Presidential Election," highlights how the IRA created thousands of accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Tumblr to create posts in "support for the Trump Campaign and opposition to candidate [Hillary] Clinton".

‘Obliteration’ could still come to Iran, Trump warns

"Despite calling off a military strike against Iran, the U.S. is still poised to hit Iran hard after weeks of mounting tensions between the two countries, President Trump said on Sunday, in what appeared to be a coordinated effort by the administration to keep the pressure on Tehran".

http://www.yahoo.com/news/obliteration-could-still-come-to-iran-trump-warns-181652414.html

WOW! Listen to the big orange talk. It's like he thinks he will send troops or whatever to Iran and they will just lay down at the feet of Trump-like he is God. NO! That will not happen. They will fire back with missiles capable of hitting our mainland. They will turn loose of everything they have. They do not care about human life. Before we could get things under control they could do a vast amount of damage.

This is not a country to mess with and think you will come out of it unscathed.

Trump had alternatives. Which could have been far more effective. He could have let the nuclear agreement stand and led the other participants to put more pressure on Iran instead of tearing up the agreement and alienating every other participant and ally. The sanctions he wanted then could have been universal without allies trying to undermine his efforts, which is what they are doing. Instead of a possible military engagement between the two countries. Instead, all he has is "mouth".

Trump warns he’s not ‘prepared to lose’ reelection

"President Trump declared that he is not “prepared to lose” reelection in 2020, saying he does not believe the official results of the popular vote count from his first election.

"COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — President Donald Trump said Sunday that he'd prefer to run for re-election against Joe Biden, suggesting that the former vice president won't be the "great candidate" Hillary Clinton was in 2016.

Trump will not win WI_MI_PA in 2020. It has swung back Democrat, not just in 2018 but current polling. Clinton was never up but 3 points at any time in those states, but Biden is way up. Trump will not win any Clinton state. That gives Biden 278 electoral votes.

He is afraid to get beat because he knows what is coming when he leaves the office.

MUELLER REPORT: We received the President’s written responses in late November 2018. In December 2018, we informed counsel of the INSUFFICIENCY of those responses in several respects. We noted, among other things, that the President stated on more than 30 occasions that he “does not ‘RECALL ’or ‘REMEMBER’ or have an ‘INDEPENDENT RECOLLECTION’“ of information called for by the questions. Other answers were “INCOMPLETE or IMPRECISE.” The written responses, we informed counsel, “demonstrate the INADEQUACY of the written format, as we have had NO opportunity to ask follow-up questions that would ensure complete answers and potentially refresh your client’s recollection or clarify the extent or nature of his lack of recollection.” We again requested an IN-PERSON interview, limited to certain topics, advising the President’s counsel that “this is the President’s opportunity to voluntarily provide us with information for us to evaluate in the context of all of the evidence we have gathered.” The President DECLINED.

I'm not a lawyer and I don't understand "absolute immunity", so I looked it up. According to what I found, it has nothing to do with executive privilege or anything like that. From what I can tell, it means that a government figure like a judge cannot be sued for merely doing his job. The only way I can think of that it relates to Donaldson, McGahn, Hicks, etc. is that Trump's lawyers believe that they are immune from being held in contempt of court for refusing to submit to a subpoena. It really sounds like Trump's lawyers are making up the law as they go. A federal judge needs to rule on this issue quickly. Trump is stalling for time and playing the victim in hopes that he will get more sympathy votes in 2020.

Trump surrounds himself with immunity, silence, and intimidation. Only guilty people act the way Trump does. Innocent people move mountains to prove their innocence.

]color=blue]Hr has plenty of time to prepare. Just because he doesn't believe it, doesn't make it so. He wasn't wanted as president in 2016. And he certainly isn't wanted now. By the larger portion of the country. I hope he gets shown the door kicking and screaming.

Trump warns he’s not ‘prepared to lose’ reelection

"President Trump declared that he is not “prepared to lose” reelection in 2020, saying he does not believe the official results of the popular vote count from his first election.

When asked if he was prepared to lose in an interview with told NBC's “Meet the Press” that aired Sunday, Trump said, “No. Probably not".

Through email leaks and propaganda, Russians sought to elect Trump, Mueller finds

"In what will stand as among the most definitive public accounts of the Kremlin’s attack on the American political system, the report of special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s investigation laid out in precise, chronological detail how “the Russian government interfered in the 2016 presidential election in sweeping and systematic fashion.” "

Florida conservatives say they don’t trust poll numbers: ‘They didn’t think Trump would win the first time’

"President Trump officially launched his 2020 campaign this week in Orlando in front of tens of thousands of his supporters at the Amway Center. Conservatives of all ages came out in the rain to express excitement for the president and praise the strong economy and his accomplishments on foreign affairs during his first two and a half years in office".

http://news.yahoo.com/florida-conservatives-say-they-dont-trust-poll-numbers-they-didnt-think-trump-would-win-the-first-time-212330089.html

‘They didn’t think Trump would win the first time? The polls were of the popular vote. Clinton won it by millions. No one polled the Electoral College.

The polling forecast that Clinton would have 2-3 percent more votes than trump. That's what happened. In 2018, the polling forecast that Dems would win big in Congress. That's what happened. Polling is based on statistics, which is math and science. Trust the science.

The 2016 pre-election polls predicted Trump would lose the popular vote, AND HE DID. The polls were correct, By a landslide.

You will probably see a similar thing in 2020. In large coastal states such as California, the votes are strongly democratic with the electoral college going to the Democrats.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016_United_States_presidential_election_in_California

The 2016 United States presidential election in California of November 8, 2016, was won by Democrat Hillary Clinton with a 61.7% majority of the popular vote over Republican Donald Trump. California's 55 electoral votes were assigned to Clinton.

The Democrats can only get so many electoral votes from California or any other state that awards all the electoral votes to the winning candidate in the state. California could have a 100% democratic vote but would still get the same number of electoral votes. The electoral college gives the rest of us in other states a chance to make our votes actually count even though we have a much smaller population. If it was by popular vote, probably 6 or 8 states would control the Presidential election because of their large populations and strong Democrat support.

Well, this is what I believe will happen. The American voter isn't stupid. But, on the other hand, you have people that if they knew that a vote for a Republican meant certain death, they would vote Republican anyway. They are that extream. There are a few still floating around out there of Trump's base that doesn't care about all the lies and deceit. Some don't care about the fact that Trump used the Russians, and will clearly do it again to get in office.

But, another way to think about it. Clinton did win by something over 3 million votes. The people clearly wanted a Democrat 4 years ago. The people were left to feel like their vote didn't count. That's why there was such a public outcry about it.

There was such a stink stirred over it by the public at large, it's just not going to be that way the next time. You can research this yourself. Trump made it by such a narrow margin, It was just dumb luck the margin was so narrow. I don't believe it will happen again. Especially with what we already know about Trump and the obstruction case slowly building against him. The Democrats are taking their time building this case.

And there is a method to that madness. I'm kinda looking for them to come out with everything they know just before the election. I don't understand their reasoning for this at this point. They have a mound of evidence on him now. But they are holding on. I think they know he stands a pretty good chance of being beaten most likely by Biden. Maybe they would rather let him be voted out.

I don't know, I'm guessing on that one. All I do know, Trump is hurting himself by telling others to defy subpoenas. Which makes his whole cabinet look corrupt and guilty. We will eventually see what the Democrats have planned for Trump. But right now, it looks like they are letting him hang himself.

How Many People Will Be Killed?': Why Trump Decided Against Striking Iran

"The planes were ready—their deadly cargo poised for delivery within a half-hour.

President Donald Trump had been given a series of options Thursday night on how to respond to Iran’s downing of an unmanned American surveillance drone. Senior military advisers zeroed in on a plan to launch strikes on a trio of sites within Iran, and it was up to Trump to give the final go-ahead".

http://fortune.com/2019/06/22/trump-iran-ordered-strike-drone-reversed/

This is just a show for Trump. When they created this mission they would’ve advised how many casualties. He’s just acting like in the last minute he stepped in to save the day. Makes the United States look impulsive and indecisive. Where’s his red line now?

Since Trump has been in office he's done a lot of dumb and corrupt shyt. But this came close to being the dumbest so far. Iran isn't a country you take lightly. It's not one you if you're in your right mind, want to fu$# with. He came pretty close to starting WW3. He is so dumb and sick with power that he thinks he can order a strike on Iran and all they will do is sit there and take it.

Iran has the ability to hit back. And to hit HARD!. And they don't care how many die. It bothers them ZERO. They have the ability to blow many of our states off the map. They have the ability to kill way more than 150 Americans with just one bomb. Even Trumps beloved state news (Fox) has reported on this.

Inside Iran’s deadly armory and its capabilities to fight the US

"In the hours after Iran is said to have downed a $125 million U.S. surveillance drone over international waters with a surface-to-air missile, despite Tehran’s vehement denials, President Trump gave the green light to retaliatory military strikes before later ordering a halt amid the alarming spike in tensions.

The inflammatory incident – which comes on the heels of escalating rhetoric between Washington and Tehran and other apparent sabotage vessel attacks – has many U.S. lawmakers and officials still fearing that some form of a military confrontation may be inevitable. But just how capable is Iran when it comes to fighting back and what lurks inside the country's shadowy arms arsenal and how is the Iranian military structured?".

http://www.foxnews.com/tech/inside-irans-deadly-armory

This is one of the things that makes me believe he might be trying to start a war. Because he knows that he can stay in office if he starts a war big enough. And WW3 with bombs falling on our mainland would be just the ticket. Screwing around with Iran is crazy. Just another pointless war. That could go terribly for the USA.

Trump Hits Pause On ICE Plan To Raid Homes Of Undocumented Families

"President Donald Trump announced Saturday over Twitter that he will delay for two weeks a plan that would deploy Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers to raid the homes of undocumented immigrants in several major U.S. cities.

The delay, Trump claimed, will allow time for Republicans and Democrats to reach a consensus on how to manage the number of people attempting to cross the southern border and request asylum".

Nadler: Hope Hicks testimony is a huge gift in a legal battle with Trump

"House Democrats are planning to file a lawsuit within days to force former White House counsel Don McGahn to testify on Capitol Hill — and they say Hope Hicks’ reluctant testimony Wednesday will help deliver them a crucial win in court.

Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler said Hicks’ blanket refusal to tell lawmakers about her tenure in the West Wing is the real-life illustration Democrats needed to show a judge just how extreme the White House’s blockade on witness testimony has become".
