"When we have settled the land, all the Arabs will

be able to do about it will be to scurry around

like drugged cockroaches in a bottle." — Raphael

Eitan, Chief of Staff of the Israeli Defence Forces

(New York Times, 14 April 1983)

Looks like this is another fabrication...

Summary: Fabricated quote, fabricated source.

Former IDF Chief of Staff Rafael Eitan

We declare openly that the Arabs have no right to settle on even one centimeter of Eretz Israel... Force is all they do or ever will understand. We shall use the ultimate force until the Palestinians come crawling to us on all fours.

Source given: Rafael Eitan, Chief of Staff of the Israeli Defense Forces, in articles by Gad Becker, Yediot Ahronot April 13, 1983 and in New York Times, April 14, 1983

Investigation: The quote does not appear in either article. While both sources discuss comments made by then-outgoing Chief of Staff Eitan, there is nothing remotely resembling this quote. A wider search of the New York Times archives, also turns up nothing.

Summary: Fabricated quote, incorrect source"

Nope. Still a fabrication. laugh
CAMERA has been noted for its pro-Israel media monitoring and advocacy.[5][6][7][8] CAMERA releases reports to counter what it calls "frequently inaccurate and skewed characterizations of Israel and of events in the Middle East" that it believes may fuel anti-Israel and anti-Jewish prejudice.[3] The group mobilizes protests against what it describes as unfair media coverage by issuing full-page ads in newspapers,[9] organizing demonstrations,[10] and encouraging sponsors to withhold funds.[10] Critics suggest the group is "Orwellian-named"[11] and that "like others engaged in the narrative wars, it does not understand the difference between advocacy and accuracy".[12]

In May 2008, five Wikipedia editors involved in a secret CAMERA campaign to edit Wikipedia were sanctioned by Wikipedia administrators, who wrote that the project's open nature "is fundamentally incompatible with the creation of a private group to surreptitiously coordinate editing by ideologically like-minded individuals".[13]

Do you also need a definition of what "orwellian" means?

The Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America (CAMERA) is a Boston-based, non-profit, pro-Israel[2] media watchdog group[3] which was founded in 1982 to respond to alleged anti-Israel bias in The Washington Post.[4]

If only it would sink into the sea". Israeli Prime Minister Yitzak Rabin referring to Gaza, just before signing the Oslo Accords.

it has nothing whatsoever to do with any
aid the US or others provide to Israel

the US supplies a similar amount of financial
aid to Egypt for example...

Israel must prevent Hamas from launching
rocket attacks at her citizens - just as
any country would have to do

but Hamas does not care about governing or
the Gazan population they are in it for Jihad
regardless of casualties on either side
sure does bro as long as bankrupt tax payers fund the never ending wars they will keep fighting. If Israel had to stand on its own two feet financialy they wouldnt waste so much money on guns and bombs. We are a debtor nation we cannot fund the slaughter. Take away the money and Israel will find a way to compromise.

Here's another David Ben-Gurion quote:

“We must use terror, assassination, intimidation, land confiscation, and the cutting of all social services to rid the Galilee of its Arab population.”

or

“We must expel the Arabs and take their places.”

Here's your full quote:

“If I were an Arab leader, I would never sign an agreement with Israel. It is normal; we have taken their country. It is true God promised it to us, but how could that interest them? Our God is not theirs. There has been Anti - Semitism, the Nazis, Hitler, Auschwitz, but was that their fault ? They see but one thing: we have come and we have stolen their country. Why would they accept that?”

I'm afraid these quotes are fabrications.

from your link. The Koenig Report or “memorandum” as it is sometimes referred to, was a private document of recommendations written in 1975 by civil servant Israel Koenig, the Interior Ministry’s official in charge of the Galilee, to alter the demographic balance of the region in favor of the Jews. The recommendations were rejected by then Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin, denounced by senior Cabinet ministers and rued by then foreign minister Yigal Alon who expressed great regret that the recommendations were ever written. It provoked controversy within Israel after being leaked to Al Hamishmar, the publication of Israel’s Marxist party, Mapam. Koenig’s recommendations included expanding and strengthening Israel’s Jewish presence in the Galilee, applying legal consequences to Arabs expressing hostility toward the state and Zionism, enforcing tax collection from the Arab sector, cutting family subsidies to Arabs with large families, eliminating preferential acceptance of Arabs into Israeli universities, channeling Arab students into studying the physical and natural sciences rather than humanities, and encouraging young Arabs to study abroad and emigrate. As controversial as Koenig’s proposals were at the time, however, there was absolutely no suggestion of using "terror," "assassination," "intimidation" or "land confiscations."

Warning: contains graphic footage of war injuries Link to this video Video showing injuries consistent with the use of shells has been filmed inside hospitals treating Palestinian wounded in Gaza City.

Contact with the shell remnants causes severe burns, sometimes burning the skin to the bone, consistent with descriptions by Ahmed Almi, an Egyptian doctor at the al-Nasser hospital in Khan Younis.

Almi said the entire body of one victim was burned within an hour. It was the first time he had seen the effects of what he called a "chemical weapon".

Would not surprise me one bit as it's pretty common in the middle east. What does it mean if there was white phosphorus bombs though? Guess i'm not quite sure of what you are getting at... I know it's pretty nasty stuff. Met a few soldiers who got burned from some...
The use of white phosphorus "violates the Geneva Protocol for the Prohibition of the Use in War of Asphyxiating, Poisonous or Other Gases, and of Bacteriological Methods of Warfare. Incendiary agents such as napalm and phosphorus are not considered to be CW agents since they achieve their effect mainly through thermal energy. Everyone is horrified by the situation in Gaza.
There never would have been a problem if Hamas
hadn't been an Islamic terrorist organization
hell bent on war rather than peace.

Israel ceased fire last night unilaterally.
Hamas responded by saying that they would NOT
honor the ceasefire and by firing rockets into
Israel again. Then, Hamas lied saying
they WOULD have their own ceasefire but demanding
the Israelis leave the area. Meanwhile Hamas
continues to fire rockets.

If Hamas does not cease their fire immediately
then a major military push will be made by Israel to shut
down any remaining rocket launches.

Hamas' duplicity is on display for the world to
see yet again. Such a waste. But Israel may be
forced to go after them again and again.
As long as america funds their nation they will go after them again and again. If they were not receiving so much american aid and the constant wars were bankrupting them they would find a way to peace. Why do we as a debtor nation fund them? It makes no sence at all.

simple.

if Hamas stops firing there will be peace.
the rest is just irrelevant.

Hamas was not even called to the negotiations. The deal was a deal between Israel and the US.
Hamas has said all along that they,
A- demand Israel open the border gates. and
B- they will not accept an occupation.

i think i can speak for the rest of the
international community when i say...

"i do think they should stop." preferably yesterday.

You dont speak for the International Community. You have one of the narrowest views of the situation I have seen. You speak for Israel and only for Israel.
They should pay you as a mini propaganda minister.laugh laugh laugh laugh

Katyusha and Kassams are not bottle rockets. They kill people.

Thirteen Israelis died during the offensive, including four killed by rocket fire.

Deadly???? The other 9 were killed by friendly fire.

It appears Israel has killed more of their own than the deadly bottle rockets.

Hey, here's an idea. Maybe they should attack theirselves!

LMAO

actually, the whole Hamas caused conflict in recent weeks is one giant ugly "self-inflicted wound" for Hamas with
hundreds of innocent civilians also victims.
NEARLY SEVENTY YEARS ago, in the course of World War II, a heinous crime was committed in the city of Leningrad. For more than a thousand days, a gang of extremists called "the Red Army" held the millions of the town's inhabitants hostage and provoked retaliation from the German Wehrmacht from inside the population centers. The Germans had no alternative but to bomb and shell the population and to impose a total blockade, which caused the death of hundreds of thousands.

Some time before that, a similar crime was committed in England. The Churchill gang hid among the population of London, misusing the millions of citizens as a human shield. The Germans were compelled to send their Luftwaffe and reluctantly reduce the city to ruins. They called it the Blitz.

I am aware how almost impossible it is in this country to carry out a foreign policy [in the Middle East] not approved by the Jews. [Former Secretary of State George] Marshall and [former Defense Secretary James] Forrestral learned that.... terrific control the Jews have over the news media and the barrage the Jews have built up on congressmen .... I am very much concerned over the fact that the Jewish influence here is completely dominating the scene and making it almost impossible to get congress to do anything they don't approve of. The Israeli embassy is practically dictating to the congress through influential Jewish people in the country"

Sec. of State John Foster Dulles in Feb. 1957 quoted on p.99 of Fallen Pillars by Donald Neff

Congratulations. A new low! You now are repeating the wonderful discredited antisemitic jewish conspiracy theories also found in such famous antisemitic works as the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, and Henry Ford's antisemitic newspaper the Dearborn Independent. Nice.

What next? Translations of the Nazi newspaper Der Sturmer?

It is an old canard. Having been codified in the Protocols of the Elders of Zion (forged by Czarist cops in 1905), the lie was sold here by Henry Ford through the 1920s. ("The Twelfth Protocol," proclaimed his Dearborn Independent, "contains the entire plan of Control of the Press, reaching from the present time into the future when the Jewish World Government shall be established.")

Really, this is really ridiculous. Disappointing.

There's no reason to repost news articles from 2001, and antisemitic false conspiracy theories from 1905 and the 1920's.
I suppose a meaningfull responce would involve proveing the quote wrong or something to that effect but I am disapointed you raised the "anti semite"boogyman
I rest my case

On October 3, 2001, I.A.P. News reported that according to Israel Radio (in Hebrew) Kol Yisrael an acrimonious argument erupted during the Israeli cabinet weekly session last week between Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and his foreign Minister Shimon Peres. Peres warned Sharon that refusing to heed incessant American requests for a cease-fire with the Palestinians would endanger Israeli interests and "turn the US against us. "Sharon reportedly yelled at Peres, saying "don't worry about American pressure, we the Jewish people control America."

"The Israelis control the policy in the congress and the senate."

-- Senator Fullbright, Chair of Senate Foreign Relations Committee: 10/07/1973 on CBS' "Face the Nation".

group of rabbis and other religious leaders bought advertising space in the New York Times this week to call for U.S. president-elect Barack Obama to push for an immediate cease-fire in the Gaza Strip.

Rabbi Michael Lerner (photo: © Tikkun Magazine)The ad, placed by the Network of Spiritual Progressives and claiming to represent more than 2,800 other religious, cultural and community leaders, urges Obama to convene an international Middle East peace conference to "facilitate a lasting and just settlement for all parties."

Rabbi Michael Lerner, editor of Tikkun magazine, who convened the group, said the group had to buy the advertising space because the national newspapers would not make room for their perspective.

"They feel that AIPAC's choice is overwhelming, and there's no space left for empathy or objective coverage - the media, according to the group, simply ignored the voice of the Jewish opposition to war in Gaza," Rabbi Lerner said.

Eleven prominent British Jews, including Baroness Julia Neuberger, published a letter in The Observer newspaper last weekend expressing their "horror" at the Gaza conflict and calling on Israel to stop its military campaign.

Israel has been waging an offensive against Hamas in the Gaza Strip since December 27. The operation, launched in order to halt cross-border rocket fire, has come under heavy criticism for the high number of civilian casualties.
