My son was born 9 weeks prem too. He has aspergers, We see the leading Childrens Doctor in brisbane and he would not give a diagnosis until he was 5. Which unfortunatly was too late for the early intervention. My sons traits were varied but the most confronting were: inability to make or keep eye contact when having a conversation, fidgeting, rocking, humming, obsessive focus on one thing, ie he would play with a toy for 5 hours staright and nothing would divert him from this toy etc. It gets harder as they get older to understand them, but eventually they mature and interaction with them becomes easier.
