Wow, wrote this in 1997...bringing back some memories! Enjoy all!

I don’t have enough years
Left in my life.
To really live the way that I crave.
To fully get rid of all of this strife,
Only wonderful memories to save.

A life in the country, the air so sweet.
A simple existence I need.
To walk sun-filled roads with only bare feet.
This is the life I would lead.

The land is so green, a beautiful sight.
Naked in the creek I would be.
The sun glowing down with sheer delight,
What a wonderful sight to see !! (he he he)

With you in pursuit, I dance through the trees,
Embracing you as you near.
Our bodies cooled by the soft summer breeze,
This is the life, My Dear.

As twilight approaches, we
Watch the sun set.
You arms around me so tight
Another day we shall not forget
We talk, we kiss – Good Night.

Ahhh...love...

Two hearts yearning for the same thing in life,
To be loved by another, to lessen life’s strife.
Two hearts yearning for that one Special someone,
To hold dear and cherish with heartstrings undone.

Two hearts searching, the journey taking forever,
To find that warmth and caring, aahh, “Never say never”.
Two hearts’ desires fading light into night,
Will they ever find that someone who might be just right.

Two hearts living separate for they cannot find their mate,
Where is he or she now? Will I find you before it’s too late?
Two hearts feeling and hearing the other’s heart beat,
Where will they see eachother? Will they ever meet?

Two hearts start connecting. How? Through a friend,
Chatting and hoping. For now, let’s just pretend.
Where will this lead? We don’t know for sure,
But Two Hearts are starting to pray for the lonely-hearts cure.

A cure for the lonely nights with dreams for true love,
A cure in finding their “forever”, with God’s blessing from above.
A cure for a lonely pizza dinner, instead they chat over eating,
A cure for those rainy nights, now they snuggle & talk of their meeting.

Two hearts once lost, have found their one beat,
Two hearts yearning have found a love so sweet.
Two hearts now beat as one, having finally found eachother,
One heart now, no longer looking for another.

I've never shared any of my poems with anyone (well, maybe only a couple) so here goes...I feel inspired by all of those out there! Hope you like it: (it was written about 2 yrs ago).

Who knows where I shall go from here
I guess that’s in God’s plans.
To not yet have the love I want
I guess that’s in God’s hands.

It’s happened to me so many times
I guess I should just accept it.
Letting go of yet another love
My piece of the puzzle doesn’t fit.

So I start all over …a familiar map
Traveling down Life’s winding roads.
Hoping and praying that He hears my prayers
And a happier route suddenly unfolds.

One never knows who one shall meet,
Just watching for that special sign.
A sign to say “Turn this way and it will be yours”
Someone to be forever mine!

My Map of Love is old and torn
Having gone through many a turn.
Searching for love and keeping it,
Yet another of Life’s lessons to learn.
