Well you really need to meet BEFORE the New Year's eve party. The first meeting should always be somewhere there's an opportunity for either party to cut things short if needed or desired. Sure you've chatted a lot online but as they say, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. You don't REALLY know anything about this guy until you meet him and talk a little in person.
