Sadness creeping under the skin burrowing away; hiding from happiness, seeking darkness, a corner to hide in

look at the girl in the swirling blue dress
she stumbles on the corner
watches the creature crouch
curious of what this might be she peers closer
light falls on the creature
it shreaks, ripping long claws into her flesh
biting deep into her heart
cutting a wound that will never heal
opening her eyes; making her see pain

walking away a new person
things a differant in her eyes
no longer does she see flowers and smiles
shadows of the night are now her friends
she is new
a changed girl

the girl has beauty in darkest ways
shunned by all she seeks the dead
at the hour of sorrow she meets her minions
her only companion is death
days go on, she screams her pain so she sews her lips to hide away
her blood is shed in her fear
for she is the lady of sadness
